Martin is an expert in the assessment and building of evidence for delicate, complex cases in jurisdictions across the world with over 30 years experience as an investigating officer in the Metropolitan Police. He has worked in over 20 countries and has proven record working in highly charged political environments where knowledge of local culture and legal frameworks is crucial. Martin joined Northern Ireland’s first Independent Police Complaints’ Office as a senior Investigating Officer and developed a multi-faceted programme for countering religious extremism when in command of policing in Lambeth.
