Lady Eithne Birt CB has a distinguished record running large public and private sector enterprises on a national and international scale. As the founding Director General of the UK National Probation Service and, more recently, as Managing Director of Fujitsu UK’s government business, she is well used to overseeing complex operations with billion-pound budgets. Outside her work with BGS, Lady Birt CB is Senior Adviser and NED in a diverse range of businesses and charitable foundations. She was made a Companion of the Order of the Bath in 2004 for her contributions to public service.

Bob Quick QPM

Chief Executive Officer

Bob served 32 years in the British Police Service becoming the UK Policing lead at New Scotland Yard for Counter Terrorism. He oversaw the introduction of 9 counter-terrorism centers across the UK. Bob was also responsible for the protection of the British Royal Family, Prime Minister and Cabinet and the security of the UK diplomatic community and visiting Heads of State. As CEO of BGS Ltd Bob has contributed to the global security debate and has led a number of security programmes including ‘Safer City’ projects. He has developed a global network of security expertise.

Dr. Amanat Hussain

Chief Operating Officer

Amanat has a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex business transformation security projects in mission critical environments for diverse public and private sector organisations. He delivered one of the largest police transformational programmes in the UK for the Metropolitan Police Service (C3i program). He is an expert in the design and implementation of 'Safer City' programmes, having successfully delivered a number of these projects around the world.

David Wood

Executive Director

David served 31 years with the British Police Service rising to the rank of Dept. Ass. Commissioner. He specialised in combatting organised crime, anti-corruption and intelligence operations. David was the founding Exec. Director for the Police Ombudsman Office in N.Ireland. He was the CEO of the Office of Criminal Justice Reform in the UK Government. David was a Board member and deputy CEO at the UK Border Agency. In 2013 he became the Director General of the Dept. for Immigration Enforcement. David has lectured internationally on combatting corruption and organised crime.

Martin Bridger QPM

Senior Investigator

Martin is an expert in the assessment and building of evidence for delicate, complex cases in jurisdictions across the world with over 30 years experience as an investigating officer in the Metropolitan Police. He has worked in over 20 countries and has proven record working in highly charged political environments where knowledge of local culture and legal frameworks is crucial. Martin joined Northern Ireland's first Independent Police Complaints’ Office as a senior Investigating Officer and developed a multi-faceted programme for countering religious extremism when in command of policing in Lambeth.

Dr Gary Buck MSc PhD C.Psychol. AFBPsS

Principal Psychologist

Dr Buck is a Behavioural Science Subject Matter Expert and has been working for the last fourteen years in the UK defence, police and security communities. He is viewed as an SME in a range of areas including: Credibility Assessment, Disruption of Hostile Threats, Behavioural Detection, Crisis Situation Management, and Personnel Security, where he has worked both operationally as well as developing cutting edge training programmes. As Principal Psychologist at BGS Gary brings his expertise to support the Integrity, Investigations, Security Services and Training provisions.

Carl Bussey

Hospitality Security Consultant

Formerly the Group Director of Risk and Security at the Maybourne Hotel Group, Carl brings focussed knowledge and experience of risk mitigation, audit and inspection, team development, and guest relations in the hospitality sector.  Carl previously had a 30 year career in the Metropolitan Police Service where he achieved the rank of Commander. He performed the role of head of the Professional Standards Directorate and Territorial Policing. He was responsible for the introduction of new technology, such as Predictive Policing and electronic monitoring to increase productivity and manage risk.
